Led by James Kuo, MFA, CGD, RGD. Design Platform is your partner in developing inspired design solutions for digital, print and environments that communicate, educate and resonate. James believes that it isn’t the design that makes something beautiful; the beauty comes from how it functions and the purpose it serves. This philosophy helps him transition between media with ease, creating appropriate and thoughtful solutions.

As part of the in-house design team at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, James gained a unique perspective on how design must be meaningful, approachable and translatable. Clients appreciate his graciousness, passion and wonderfully positive attitude. Knowing that the best solutions result from a blend of collaboration, inspiration and enthusiasm, James enjoys working with clients on projects that create a visual experience for an audience, whether it’s delivered digitally, through print or by an environment.

His work has earned awards and has appeared in a number of North American publications, including DesignEdge, CMYK, Graphic Design USA, Print and Communication Arts. Additionally, James volunteers as a thesis advisor to final-year design students and as a portfolio reviewer at an annual career development conference for Canadian design students.
